I'm really enjoying making my Scrappy Trip blocks... LOL
When you look at one block by it's self one my wonder how I came up with that fabric combination. These are not fabrics I would normally put together. I'm using a black print going through the center as my only constant. From there I'm arranging my strips from dark to light. One block might not be much to look at by itself.... but when you add a friend...

Then add more friends...
Move the friends around...
I need to go make more friends! LOL
The last one I made I cut my strips and was at it for some time. I was trying to get a kit to take to a retreat. It did take a long time but one strip at a time you get them done. The first time I made this pattern cut as I went and my mission was to use up fabric I no longer loved.............it came out really nice........amazing how just putting friends together as you say really makes things pop. I am enjoying seeing your progress.
ReplyDeleteThank you! I don't remember who I learn the concept of "friends", but I've used it ever since. Friends have something in common... so if you have a block that looks out of place it needs to have a friend near by. LOL
