I got the border on my Jewel Box quilt yesterday... this was our guilds 2018 mystery quilt. Yes, it's been waiting that long for me to apply the borders! I find borders to be the most boring part of making a quilt!
Something I've learned about myself in the last couple months is... making a pieced border is anything but boring! Making a pieced border motivates me to finish because I can't wait to see it on the quilt. This improv border was just the ticket! LOL!!!!
Now to find time to quilt it!
I may never make a plain border again....

DeleteI like pieced borders too, they are a lot more work but they can really add more to the party!
