OK...I've changed the layout of my blog again and again. I was having a hard time getting a picture that I really liked and be the right size for the header all at the same time. I'm not very computer literate. I just know enough to get me into trouble, which I'm always in trouble one way or the other... Anyway, I think I'm happy with the layout for now.
As I make new post, you will never know where my thought may lead me... There may be times that I'm really chatty and other times I may be a total slacker. Once in awhile a story about my life and family from the past may pop into my head and that I may feel the need to share. You just never know...
A little more about me...
I've been married to Dan (Dan the Man) (Dan, Dan the Dancing Man) for a little over 18 years...whew, that's a long time. We have two Australian Terriers, Waco and Bear. Waco is going to be 9 in February and Bear will be 4 in December. We've had Waco since he was 7 weeks old and Bear was a rescue we got when he was 2.
Waco is on the Left....
We live in the middle of 6 1/2 acres of wooded land in the foothills of the Olympic Mountains. We have quite a bit of wild life... bears, coyotes, raccoons, deer, squirrels, chipmunks, and lots of birds. We also have 2 creeks, one in front of the house and one in the gully behind the house. Right now they are flowing pretty heavily with all the rain we've had the last couple weeks. So far we haven't had a problem with flooding...(knock on wood!)
I'm a longarm machine quilter... this means that do machine quilting for other people for hire. I also teach longarm and quilt piecing classes at our LQS (local quilt shop) and around the country at different quilt conferences. In 2009 I will be teaching at MQX in April, MQS in May and Innovations in September. I'm also the author of Just Leaf It a quilting design book using leaves as an alternative to feathers.
Besides quilting I like to crochet, read, garden, camp, and ride my Harely...
Welcome to blog world Kim. I love your buddies, Waco and Bear.
