I finished this quilt a while back for one of my favorite customers. All her quilts get leaves so I decided to do something a little different... feathers! I don't do feathers real often, so don't laugh too hard.
Anyway, I used Warm Blend 50/50 batting and Sew Fine white thread. All in all, I really like this quilt. (even with my goofy feathers)
Note to self...repeat to self... my feathers are not goofy, my feathers are not goofy
For the life of me, I can't get that echoed feather to work for me. Some day I'm just going to have to load a really big busy print quilt and make myself do them all over the quilt. I think yours look great!
ReplyDeleteYour feathers look great! I can't do the leaves-I have bought your book but haven't really had time to practice! There have been several customer quilts lately that the leaves would have been perfect-but I think I have a mental block!

I'll take your 'goofy' feathers anytime! Look great to me! BTW, your colored leaf quilt is way too cool!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful quilting, as always, Kim.
ReplyDeleteYour feathers are NOT goofy! They look great. Fantastic job.
ReplyDeleteI love the feathers and the grid quilting on this ... not goofy at all!
