Pansy Quilting....

I just finished this little quilt for a customer...  She wanted me to make the flowers look more like pansies.  I'm hoping I achieved her request...

This is how I started.


Then I added some yellow thread...


Still needs some background fill in the white...


And finished...

 


One more...


The colors changed in each picture as the sun got lower in the sky...

    Fantastic! You pulled it off :-)
    The light is always a tough when photographing quilts to show up the quilting. My last couple of posts have not been so good.

    I LOVE this piece, you complemented the colors the maker chose so well~~~

    I am curious though at the layout/size of the piece. Is this for a certain location or is it a table runner?

    Just GORGEOUS, you did an awesome job of complementing the great fabrics she chose to construct the blocks in.

    I am curious though, this is an odd way to put them together..did she make as a table runner or is it a coverlet for a certain place? End of bed?

    Love your beautiful work and the quilt. I have a quilt I have made for my mom and want to do the same thing with the flowers. How did you manage to get the lines to look thicker and pop so well? I have been playing with samples for my mom's and it never looks like that. Are you quilting on a long arm or a sewing machine. What thread are you using?

      Sorry, no. This was a customer quilt. I believe she got the pattern out of a magazine...
