Looks like I've been missing in action again... Sorry about that! Sometimes life gets in the way of quilting. Can't say it's been anything exciting that's kept me away. Just day to day stuff .
Over the last weekend I did 2 quilts for a customer.... I believe they are for twins, but not positive. My customer brought them to me at the quilt shop while I was working so I didn't really look at the backing until I got ready to do them.
Well, the back is an extra wide one (very pretty green!), which hadn't been cut for each quilt top. That put me to thinking (I know.... that can be dangerous). What if I load the back and do both quilts one right after another???? So that's what I did.
I did cut the batting into 2 separate pieces.... It was the best way to keep from wasting any and the most economical.
My customer chose a simple loops and heart meander... with white thread.
Quilt number one has the birds... I love these birds!
The second quilt has flowers... bright cherry flowers!
OH.... and no fair cheating by reading the comments already left! LOL
