Or should I say "On the Table"... since all my wall space is taken with projects that have been up there forever!
Anyway, I've been saving selvages and have had others saving selvages for me... So last week about this time I went to get something out of one of my closets and 5 (yes! 5) grocery bags full of selvages came tumbling out and spilling all over the floor!!! You know what that means. Time to start my selvage quilt!

I am loving this.... so much fun!
If you want to see what others have on their walls (tables, beds and floors) head on over to Judy's and check it out... :-)
Nice! I love what you have done and it looks like it was a really fun project.
ReplyDeleteIt is really fun!!! Thanks Kathy!
DeleteVery pretty - I have been saving selvages too but haven't made one of the "zingers" yet...someday...
ReplyDeleteThanks Sarah! Don't wait for your selvages to spill out like I did... get in on some of the fun now :-)
Deletewow it looks great.......a friend of mine saves selvages...will have to send her your link......
ReplyDeleteThanks Cathy! It is a lot of fun to do... :-)
Deletei started saving selvages as well- only a sandwich baggie full so far! how narrow of a seam allowance are you using?
ReplyDeleteJenny, there is no real seam allowance. You just overlap the selvages. I do like at least a half inch of the fabric... this makes it easier to overlap, but I do have a few that others of saved for me that has no extra. I've made a few of them work... just makes it a little harder.
DeleteHere's a link to Selvage Blog and some direction for her red zinger...
