Ta Done....

I finished my customer's quilt yesterday....  the pattern is Feathered Star by Judy Niemeyer

I'm really pleased with the way it turned out...  Hope my customer likes it has much has I do!

I wanted the piecing to be the star of this quilts so I matched the threads to blend with the fabric.  That means 5 different colors and a lot of thread  changes!!!  I mostly used King Tut...  930 Berry Patch, 903 Lapis Lazuli, 964 Asher Blue, and 975 Reed.  In the navy blue background I used Glide Rock Navy.  On the back is all Bottom Line in colors to match the top thread.  Warm and Natural batting...

My customers wanted feathers in the background...  so that's what she got!

I didn't think a formal feather design compliment the style of the quilt so I did a free form feather fill...

I chose tight background fills for the star points leaving the spikes unquilted to make them pop...

 And some itty bitty feathers...

I had fun in the border....
