I thought I'd try my hand at making a plarn basket. (Plarn is yarn made out of plastic grocery bags.) My first attempt was a fail. With just plarn it felt stretchy and I was afraid it would stretch all out of shape with any weight in it. I took it apart and started over while adding yarn for strength and changed the stitch from a hdc to a sc. I'm really liking it now! This is my attempt at reducing my plastic footprint.
