Happy Mail Day

I don't always get to the Post Office daily....  At best of times I go twice a week...  so anyway, look what was waiting for me when I went yesterday...

My Quick Curve Ruler and pattern that I ordered from Jenny!!!  (the fabric is just so you could see the ruler better)  Check out my previous post with all the links to order a ruler, pattern or both here.  Also don't forget about the Urban 9-patch sew along....  I think I may do mine in 30's prints.  Just because I have lots of them that need to be used up!!!

Mail Call

I hadn't been to the Post Office in about a week, since I was at Sew Expo for most of that time.  So, yesterday when I went.... I had all kinds of goodies!!!  Can you tell it takes simple pleasures to really make me happy?

First is Weekend Quilts by Judy Laquidara .  I really enjoy her style of writing quilt patterns, so I thought this would be a good book to add to my library...  and I was right!  Her color choices and pattern design just make me want to start a new project!  (but I better finish a few first)

Next is Machine Quilting Unlimited....  I only subscribe to 2 magazines and this is one of them!  A magazine totally dedicated to machine quilters.  Fabulous!!!   The first article I had to read is by Kimmy Brunner... love her.  Her writing is both humorous and insightful at the same time.

Last but not least is 200 Crochet Blocks by Jan Eaton.  I trying to crochet and afghan.  The keyword being trying!  My Gramma taught me the basics when I was young, but I never really made anything except for dish clothes and scarves.  Oh... I did make an afghan once.  It was suppose to be a full size throw... it came out baby blanket size!!!  So... the other day I was surfing flcker and came across a group that is all about this book.  They inspired me so much I had to own this book!

All this in one days mail... it was a happy mail day even with the bills!
