Ribbons!!!

Ribbons on one of my quilts makes me giggle like a school girl!!!

Last weekend was the Grays Harbor County fair.  I haven't put any of my quilts in a show or a fair in several years.  Like about ten years or more...  Mostly because none of my quilts ever get completely finished!

This last winter I decided to take some time and actually quilt one of my own quilts...   So this year when the fair time came around I decided I would enter my Granny Square quilt (aka Iron Flutterbies).  I wanted to go to the fair but we never found the time :-(

On Tuesday when I went into work at Quilt Harbor I was really surprised to find ribbons on my quilt!

There was a blue ribbon and a Best in Section....

And then....   this really big fancy red ribbon.  Second overall!!!

I have had customers win Reserve Grand Champion (which is kind of the same as this ribbon just different wording), and Viewers Choice at the State Fair which was really exciting, but this is my quilt....   wooo hooo!!   And it makes me giggle!!!  I never expected anything.  I just thought it would be fun to enter :-)
