I feel like I have been working on this quilt forever.... and I have!
I counted 30 cones of thread on my table... and that didn't include all the bobbins!
But it really shows on the back....
Here's a look at the blocks...

The thread mostly blended on the front...adding lots of texture.

Some blocks really stumped me!
And some I tried to keep simple...
And this one I forgot to get a picture of the front...
I'm pleased with the way this turned out. I just hope my customer doesn't think I quilted it to death! ;-)
what a fabulous quilt! WOW!

DeleteGorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous! I can't believe that's a customer quilt. That quilter will be thrilled with it. That quilt back is amazing.
ReplyDeleteI just finished a multi-colored thread quilt and whew! I was constantly rethreading and checking tension. It's worth it though when those colors blend so well. I only used about 8 or so cones, but had to keep using them each row. So I know you've been busy with 30.
Don't you love that thrill of having accomplished something really wonderful? That satisfaction makes all the concentration and work so worth it.
Thank you!
DeleteYes, lots of thread changes for every block which means fiddling with the tension over and over again! The solid black backing was my choice to show the quilting...
Thanks again!
Looks fabulous Kim!
