Heavy Metal Quilting   Including 4 new designs!!!
With the look and feel of rod iron fencing Heavy Metal gets its name.  Don’t be fooled by the name, these designs are made using soft curves and spirals.  You will learn how to quilt the border treatment that started it all with a little bit of marking to divide up the space and turn the corners with ease.  Kim will explain the process of creating unique custom designs for many traditional and modern quilts. Supply List: Pen and paper for notes, still camera's welcomed.
$5 handout fee to be collected in class.

Thursday, October 10th
1pm to 3pm
Class #233
Angel Wings, Fish Hooks and More (New class!!!)
What do these two things have in common?  They are both feather designs!  Learn these unique feathers for elegant and whimsical designs. Kim will show you many different feather designs from frilly and feminine to masculine. Once you have the basics of constructing these feathers we will explore using them in borders, blocks and setting triangles.  Kim will show you how to use stencils, templates and rulers for the foundation to quilting these designs into your quilts.  Someone will go home with the class sample.  Supply List: Pen and paper for notes, still camera's welcomed.
$5 handout fee to be collected in class.
