Ta Done
I've been quilting for this customer for close to 20 years. She always says... just make it pretty! LOL
Rainbow thread on top and Bottom Line in the bobbin. Batting is W&W. Feather Vine in the border with swirls in the small border. Heavy Metal in the Flying Geese, Feather Vine in the Pinwheels and swirls for the background.
I think it looks really good on my bed!

Ta Da... Yellow Brick Road
It's not often I get to do a simple E2E! I'll tell you it's a nice break from some of the complex custom jobs that I do! Customer chose one of my freehand designs... Flowers and Swirls. Batting is Warm Plush. Thread is King Tut on top and Bottom Line in the bobbin.

I finished this super cute shoe quilt yesterday. I must say this is one I hate to return to my customer... I just love everything about it!
The shoes are machine embroidery with designs by Sally King at BFC Creations. The batting is Hobbs silk. So Fine thread on top with Bottom Line in the bobbin. All quilting is done freehand except for the Stitch in the ditch.

This is finally done... 10 thread changes! Threads used InvisiFil in both black and white. For the colors some are Glide and some Magnifico... depending on which matches best. Pattern is Rainbow Hosta by Judy Niemeyer. Quilting is all freehand... what I thought would take me a couple days took me a week!
I had a hard time getting a good picture of this quilt...

On and off the machine... this beautiful Srack-n-Whack quilt pieced by one of my customers.
I didn't take as many pictures as I normally do... but the ones I did get shows the Just Leaf It quilting really well. I haven't done these leafy designs in quite awhile. They are just like riding a bike... they came to me like I quilt them every day!

The lighting is a little off in a couple of the pictures... sorry about that. I've also been playing around with the three different cameras that we have trying to decide which one gets the best quilt pix. I don't think it's the one I used today...
This is also the quilt that I did the Angel Wings border on... you can find the tutorial here.
I love the new design I came up with for the 4" squares...
Now I want to make a quilt with nothing but squares so I can do this design!!!

I outlined the flowers in the center and quilted pebbles in between them... Yes, that was a lot of pebbles!
I really like the texture it gave...
And for the borders... Ribbon candy and feathers!
Feathers...
Little itty bitty feathers...
I'm happy with how this turned out!!!
Oh... and last night I was the guest speaker at the Tacoma Modern Quilt Guild...
I think it went well... they asked me to come back in the spring to teach a class!!!
