I drew this a couple weeks ago...  Now I'm thinking this sketch could be this years Christmas card.  What do ya think?

 

Need to take my sketch to the printers...  I hope I still have time to get them in the mail by Christmas!

Quiltdalla

I've decide to call these designs Quiltdalla since I only use quilting design when I draw my Mandalla's....

This one got a little dark after I picked up the wrong pen!

A few new doodles

The other night I was having a garden type mood...  maybe because it's fall and rainy here.

My first Mandala

After reading Dream it then Create it blog by Jane I decided to try my hand at creating a Mandala....
This just may become a quilt ;-)

Today's doodle

This and that...

First of all the rodeo was a blast!  It's just our small county fair but fun not the less... :-)

I got my mess cleaned up, well sorta.  Like I said before my room is a little messing to begin with.  Just not enough room for all my quilty stuff, but all the books and patterns are back on the book case.  The bookcase is shimed up right so as not to fall over again.  I keep telling Dan that it has been leaning since we put it there when we moved in and that was like 4 years ago!  I have a few magazines and catalogs to go through... keep what I need or think I need and throw out the rest, and that's about it....

Today's doodle...

I was trying to add some shading to this one to give it more depth...  doesn't really show as much as I thought it would.  These stars are inspired by my good friend Vicki Star birthday.  It's this coming weekend.  Here's to you my friend!

Practice Zen....

There are a couple blogs that have Zentangle how tos that I have been visiting... so I decide to start doing some of these step by steps to see what may come of them. This is my version of Daggerly from Open Seed Arts .

you can see where I got bored with the same design over and over and added my own thing....  maybe that's why they have you work in side a 3 1/2" square!

Doodle of the day

I got brave and actually drew in my new sketch book.  I was nervous at first because I'm always afraid of messing up, but realized if it is really bad... I can rip out the page!
 
All things are leaves....  OK, I'm really, really likeing this one!  This one could make a really cool tattoo, but where would I put it?

2 new doodles

I finished a couple more doodle this week.... This is really addicting :-)   On the first one there is a spot at the top that I didn't like how it turned out... so I colored it in.  Don't really like that either.  I may try going over it with a white pen that I have....

 

I got some new pens yesterday... Staedtler, a pack of four in different mm, .1mm, .3mm, .5mm & .7mm I really like them! Also got a new sketch pad, but I'm afraid to draw anything in cause I don't want to mess it up....
