On the Hook

So far my temperature blanket is most light turquoise and leaf green...  I had a feeling that would be the case.  Last night I started my second skein of leaf green and am almost out of the light turquoise.  Looks like I will have to go hunting for another skein!

My edges are pretty wonky...  so glad it's not a quilt!  I decided to loosen up my stitches to match the beginning.  That may of been a mistake!

I've made a lot progress on my Hexie Flowers...

This will give me one of each color combination with the yellow centers...

When I get the third round finished on these I will start the next batch with white centers!

On the Hook 3/4/16

I'm up to date on my Temperature Blanket...

I like to crochet, but I never said I'm very good at it. Somehow my stitches get tighter as I go! My sides are not very straight and the beginning edge is rather friendly!

The next 2 weeks are suppose to be in the low 50's everyday. That's going to be a lot of green!

So while I wait for more yarn for my Amazing Hexie blanket, and I'm missing making those hexies, what do I do? Start another one! I'm thinking primroses..... and spring flowers!

I'm using the hexagon pattern over at Attic24....    love these!

On the Hook

I forgot to post this yesterday...  dang it!

Here's this weeks progress on my temperature blanket...  Our weather is so mild right now that you really don't see a lot of change from one week to the next.  I think that will be changing soon.  Hopefully!  LOL

Also I started sewing another row of my hexies onto my my scarf/shawl...

I love the way that it's looking so much that I have decided to make it into a blanket!!!  So now I need to figure out how many more skeins I need!

First step is to see how many hexies I can get out of one skein...

Eight!  I can get eight hexies out of one skein.

I think I want 10 rows across and 12 rows down...  I haven't decided if I want to try making half hexies to fill in at the top and bottom yet.  I'll decide that when I get there. So anyway, I will need at least 120 hexies.  As of now I have 57 done...  so that means I need 63 more...  63 divided by 8 is 7.875...  This means I need to order at lest 8 more skeins!!!  So I'll probably order 10 so I have enough to do and edging.
