TaDone

This quilt is done...

I tried not to do much quilting on the center panel.  Mostly outlining the picture and followed the shadows.

My favorite curly vine border design in the outer border. In the inner border I mimicked the designs I quilted in the piecing.

I'm really  pleased with how it turned out.

New Video

I did a short video of the center motif on the Drunkard's Path quilt I posted about here and here...

It's no secret by now that I love doing my simple Feather Vine in many shapes. It is the perfect design for this fun Drunkard's Path quilt.

In this video I'm quilting my Feather Vine in the large white space made by the Drunkard's Path. With a few registration lines I used the seam lines for my spine.

Ta Done!!!

I'm so happy with how this customer quilt came out! Now I want to make one! LOL!!! Or keep this one!

Glide 60wt thread on top. Bottom Line in bobbin. Quilter's Dream poly select batting. Freehand feather vines and a little ruler work.

I did a couple videos while quilting this... bet editing will have to wait until Monday. I'll post them as soon as they are ready.

On the Machine

This is going to be fun!!!! I love quilts like this... even though I I will be repeating the same 3 designs over and over. They are fun designs and easy for me to move from to the next.

Sometimes I have the tendency to over think things. To make things harder than they need to be. Yesterday was one of those days. I tried a couple other designs that were more complex and would take much longer to do. The worse part was... I didn't like them! Spent some time with seam ripper...

I'm really glad I did... I like this much better!

Ta Done

I do not know the name of this pattern... but I love it and now I want to make one!  LOL!!!

I've been quilting for this customer for close to 20 years. She always says... just make it pretty! LOL

Rainbow thread on top and Bottom Line in the bobbin. Batting is W&W. Feather Vine in the border with swirls in the small border. Heavy Metal in the Flying Geese, Feather Vine in the Pinwheels and swirls for the background.

I think it looks really good on my bed!

You can see how I quilted the Feather Vine in the triangles in this post

I had to do my favorite Feather Vine border.... had to!!! LOL

And Heavy Metal in the flying geese!

You can watch how I quilt this Heavy Metal design here.
