Bali Wedding Star Block
I uploaded a new video to YouTube... Same Bali Wedding Star quilt... This shows how I quilted the blocks with the 15" arc from Linda Hrcka, The Quilted Pineapple, along with freemotion designs. I'm using DecoBob 80wt thread in a light grey color from WonderFil.

New Video
It's no secret by now that I love doing my simple Feather Vine in many shapes. It is the perfect design for this fun Drunkard's Path quilt.
In this video I'm quilting my Feather Vine in the large white space made by the Drunkard's Path. With a few registration lines I used the seam lines for my spine.

Ta Done
I've been quilting for this customer for close to 20 years. She always says... just make it pretty! LOL
Rainbow thread on top and Bottom Line in the bobbin. Batting is W&W. Feather Vine in the border with swirls in the small border. Heavy Metal in the Flying Geese, Feather Vine in the Pinwheels and swirls for the background.
I think it looks really good on my bed!

Videos
There's several obstacles I'm running into. First is my lights. My lights on my machine are directly under my handle bars and are blocking the area where I'd really like to place the mount.
Second is I can't rotate the camera to get a landscape profile. This means it's taking a tall skinny video which means anyone trying to watch it on their phone is having harder time seeing.
Third is there are too many joints in the mount. This creates more camera wobble. When I quilt a little faster the camera wobbles...
Anyway, here's a new video I did last week. The angle is not right. I will try again soon!
I have my eye on a different style of mount... It's a little more than what I want to spend but it may be worth it in the long run!

Ten Inch Borders
Does anyone else get excited about 10" borders? The only problem is my thread color matches the fabric exactly and I'm having a really difficult time seeing where I'm going. I usually turn off all the lights and with my 2 picture windows I get enough light and shadow so I can see. Not today...

Doodle
My last post was showing how I fill in and embelllish a compuerized design... This one started out with a loopy meander that someone test driving a machine at the A1 Quilting Machines Inc booth.

Ta Done
A did ruler work with freemotion quilting in the sashing and small gold border...
In the center I outlined the print fabric and add a background fill in the green...
I used the channel locks on the Quilt Gallery to do the bead board quilting in the purple border...
Sometimes I like the back the best.... :-)

Background Fill
The center of this quilt is a section of a beautiful fabric. Peacocks and dragonflies!
I'm out lining the print and quilting the green with my favorite background fill.... a little bit of and a little bit of that.

On the Machine
I took my quilt off the frame to work on a few customer quilts.... I do believe this is turning out out wonderfully!
I'm using a purple Glide thread in the border and blocks, a copper Glide thread in the small border and sashing, and a green Invisifil in the panel and green sashing..... Hobbs 80/20 batting. The quilting is a combination of freehand, rulers and computer work.
